A practice in Hobart is looking for an experienced veterinarian to help cover a period of maternity leave.

This is a 6-month fixed-term position. However, the employer will consider a 12-month role and there is also the option to stay on permanently, if desired.

The hospital is locally owned and operated, with the owners working as vets amongst the team. The 6-vet team loves to have a laugh, they love to be busy and work in a collaborative way.

Nurses at the practice are passionate about the patient journey and about helping you succeed. They are highly skilled and qualified and ensure your day runs smoothly.

The employer focuses on work-life balance and can be flexible with your hours and roster requirements. Ideally, you will work four days per week, with a variety of shifts. However, three days will also be considered if this is your preference. The Saturday rotation is one Saturday morning every 4 to 5 weeks. After-hours is not a requirement for this position.

This large, busy hospital is equipped with all the tools you need to provide high-level services, including onsite access to the only CT scanner in Tasmania, access to referral and specialist surgeons, visiting specialists, onsite chemotherapy and I-131 treatments.
