A practice located in beautiful Hobart is on the lookout for a new vet to join their team.
Applications from experienced vets and new/recent vets are encouraged.
The clinic is busy and has a varied caseload. Being located in Hobart, there is limited opportunity to refer, meaning there is exposure to a wide range of cases, both medical and surgical. A nearby after-hours hospital means there are no after-hours duties.
This full time opportunity will see the vet working a four-day week.
The ideal candidate will have a positive, can-do, friendly attitude and the desire to grow and develop in their career. Applicants should have the ability to work within a team, build rapport with clients and possess strong organisational and communication skills.
The employers are committed to career development and offer access to continuing education programs, a generous annual contribution towards professional development and one week of paid study leave.
New graduates will benefit from a new graduate program, with support provided in the transition from university to the workplace. The program focuses on key areas of development, providing hands-on clinical experience, business skills, personal well-being support, and exceptional client communication training.
The hospital is fully equipped, including an in-house x-ray machine, digital processor, and ultrasound machine.
What else is on offer?
- An excellent salary package ranging from $84,700 - $145,200 per annum (depending on experience)
- Paid veterinary board registration, radiation license and VIN membership
- A flexible 4 day working week
- Paid parental leave
- Access to a wide support network of like-minded professionals
- And more!
The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
Combining heritage charm with modern luxury, Hobart truly is one of Australia's most beautiful cities. Explore its world-class cultural attractions, indulge in incredible cuisine at numerous restaurants, bars, and cafes, and embrace the spirit of adventure with unparalleled wilderness at your doorstep.
