Are you searching for a practice that feels like home? You've found it!

You will not find a better team anywhere! They support each other in a collaborative environment, putting the patient's needs first and foremost. You will work alongside vets with many decades of experience to assist you. There is an emphasis on problem-solving together. It would be a challenge to find a more adaptive and efficient small animal team in Australia!

Ideally, this practice needs a full time vet, but they can also accommodate your preference for part-time or casual work.

You will have everything at your fingertips to diagnose and work up your cases in the fully equipped small animal hospital. Digital X-rays including dental, ultrasound, surgical theatre, intensive care, in-house lab, bair huggers...the list goes on!

This practice has been servicing the beautiful area for over 40 years. They are ingrained with the local community and their animals - and wouldn't have it any other way. Positions in the practice are tightly held, and the team really do make a difference in the lives of the loving, close-knit family community. The clients are dedicated and willingly follow the vet's patient care plan.

The caseload is broad and varied - They really do see it all! From the simple to the complex - medical and surgical.

The successful applicant can expect to see the normal mix of household pet problems through the consult door, as well as plenty of emergencies common to country living (ticks, snake bites, heat stress, hit by car etc).

The roster can include surgery and consulting or just consulting if preferred.

For those who are interested in a casual position, the practice requires primarily consulting shift cover (medicine, no surgery). Shifts are available every day at present - and can accommodate around your pre-existing schedule.

Members of the team are skilled at ultrasound and surgery - and are always at the ready to assist. Collaboration on cases where required is encouraged. The practice also has visiting specialists available to come to them for those complex cases.

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

Some things that make this practice a little different are:

- They believe in investing in your future - and provide a very generous annual CPD allocation.

- They are a family-friendly practice - and have lots of parents within the team. They are flexible and understanding around your personal commitments. Paid parental leave is one of the many benefits offered.

- They believe in people - and very regularly have team lunches, celebrations and create 'feel good' opportunities within the busy days.

The area feels like a small country town but is really on the outskirts of Brisbane - only 25km from the city. It is halfway between the Sunshine and Gold Coasts. The area is also home to some of the very best restaurants and coffee houses in Australia. So many families have their own little piece of paradise on a couple of acres with a cat, a couple of dogs, a horse, and perhaps an alpaca or two.
