Full Time Vet Job - 200,343SP

A vet is required to work in a predominately small animal practice located on a beautiful tropical island.

The start date is September/October. The position is for a one-year contract. The island is so far Covid free and 2 weeks quarantine will be required upon arrival.

The practice is offering to pay a return airfare from a capital city in Australia, New Zealand or New Caledonia. Accommodation and a vehicle will be provided, and the practice owner will organise work and residency permits for the successful candidate.

Clinic hours are 7.30 am to 11.30 am and 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday, and possibly some Saturday mornings.

The practice employs two vets and four nurses, and the successful applicant will be in sole charge of the practice when the owner is away.

Good surgical skills, including basic orthopaedics, are essential. Experience with routine equine work is also essential. An interest in animal welfare work is desirable as the practice regularly visits the villages to spey dogs.
