A small animal general practice and canine rehabilitation facility in Melbourne's northern outskirts is seeking an experienced veterinarian who has a passion for surgery and is committed to providing the best standard of patient care.

The practice is seeking an accomplished veterinarian who is:

The practice offers an outstanding combination of diagnostic and treatment choices that are rarely found in GP Practice.

The practice is well-equipped with CT, MRI, digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, and a full IDEXX suite, as well as fluoroscopy, CO2 laser, ventilator, arthroscopy, gastroscopy, bronchoscopy and a nasal scope.

In addition to the GP clinic, there is also a spacious rehabilitation centre, allowing the team to provide a variety of advanced and integrative therapies. Equipment at the rehab centre includes regenerative medicine, including prp and stem cell, hyperbaric medicine and canine rehabilitation, including hydrotherapy (pool and underwater treadmills), laser therapy, acupuncture, myotherapy, therapeutic and physiotherapy exercises, neuromuscular stimulation and prosthetics and brace casting.

The after-hours service runs from 8 pm - 10 pm for urgent consults. There is an on-site nurse 24 hours a day to support patients in the hospital, with clinical leads on backup for any concerns.

The practice is an approved and accredited visa sponsor. They are willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

On offer:

- Base salary (plus super) will be commesurated with experience, however a vet with over 10 years' experience and leadership skills can expect upwards of $180,000 - $200,000+ super.

- $20,000 additional incentive based on retention and team development criteria.

- +$5,000 relocation assistance.
