An opportunity for an experienced vet has become available in far north Queensland to take on a leadership role.

This role would suit a senior practitioner who wants to further expand their knowledge and experience in business management.

The successful applicant will be leading a team of four vets. This is a key leadership position, and is part of the senior management group, and will focus on upholding high standards of care, mentoring staff and managing the clinic.

This is a full-time, permanent position with an after-hours rota of one week per month.

Key duties/responsibilities:

- Mentor and lead clinic staff

- Ensure a high standard of care is maintained

- Manage the training and development personnel

- Conduct staff performance appraisals

- Conduct clinic performance analysis

- Oversee allocation of clinic resources
