Due to growth, a two-branch clinic on Scotland's stunning coastline has a vacancy for a small animal veterinarian. Both new/recent graduates and experienced vets are welcome to apply.
The practice currently employs nine vets across their two sites, whose combined experience spans several decades. Vets are supported by nine RVNs. The team works as a family, supporting each other inside and outside of work.
The position on offer can be either full or part-time. A full-time role would involve a four-day week plus 1 in 4 weekends. There is a strong focus on work/life balance for employees. Time in lieu will be provided for any overtime worked. No OOH is required. The position would be mainly based at one branch for client continuity.
Special interests and continuing education are encouraged and supported. For the right candidate, the employer is happy to cover the costs of pursuing a certificate. The practice owner is passionate about progression.
Some other perks of the job include RCVS, VDS, and BSAVA fees paid, a pension scheme, a day off on your birthday and a healthy CPD allowance.
The clinic houses digital x-ray, in-house bloods and an ultrasound machine at both branches. They have a visiting cardiologist and orthopaedic surgeon, so these procedures can be performed in-house.
Sponsorship may be considered for experienced overseas applicants.
Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science or other relevant qualification and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner.
The practice is located just over 40 minutes from Glasgow. Explore the wonders of island life, countryside towns and sandy shores. Attractions include beautiful and exciting walks and cycling routes, along with castles and other historic sites. They are also conveniently located close to excellent public transport links. Glasgow can be reached in approximately one hour by train.
