A privately owned practice in the Canterbury Region of New Zealand is searching for a forward-thinking companion animal veterinarian to join their team. They are seeking a vet who values and complements their growing team.

This is a four-vet practice. Their vision is to be the people's vet practice of choice. The practice sees a loyal client base, including several generations of families.

The team fosters positive relationships through communication and awareness, and they're proud to deliver progressive, evidence-based veterinary medicine. They focus on preventative animal health to improve the lives of people and their animals.

The role can be full or part-time, with job-sharing opportunities available.

You will be working within a purpose-built, Best Practice Accredited facility. There are three clinics within the group, all within an hour of each other.

Clinic hours:

Monday to Friday - 8:30 am - 6:00 pm

Saturday - 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Sunday - Closed

After-hours are shared with another clinic, so it's not too taxing.

The practice sees a significant farm animal and companion animal client base and, as you would expect in modern vet clinics, it is fully equipped with all diagnostics, routine, and specialist surgical equipment.

The role can be tailored to suit your preferences as the employers are proud to develop their vets and look after their team. Mentorship is available and actively encouraged.

Vets at the practice have areas of special interest in small animal reproduction, orthopaedics, emergency medicine, sheep AI, acupuncture, cattle nutrition, and membership in dairy cattle medicine.

The practice is located in the Southern Canterbury region on the beautiful South Island of New Zealand. It is located in a great area for families. Both Dunedin and Christchurch are within an easy drive, and it is also a few hours' drive from many ski resorts. There are many good restaurants and cafes in town as well as good sporting facilities.
