A great opportunity has arisen for an equine vet to join a small, close-knit team at a performance horse boutique practice in Sydney/Southern Highlands.
This position would suit an equine vet with a background and/or strong interest in equine practice (specifically racetrack and performance horse work).
There is a focus on high-level performance horses and all aspects of thoroughbred breeding and some racetrack caseload.
The role is based in the Southern Highlands and services local thoroughbred studs, performance horses and local racetracks while working closely with the Sydney team.
The role will involve working alongside other vets and sharing the responsibility of daily routine work. The team of vets and support staff are supportive, collaborative, and fun to work with.
The team prides themselves on providing excellent service and developing strong client relationships to ensure their needs are known and met.
This position would suit someone with a minimum of three years of experience in equine practice. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated with experience in equine reproduction and general practice ambulatory medicine and lameness. Great communication skills, organisation skills and punctuality are highly regarded.
The full-time role will require vets to share weekend and on-call duties as needed.
Vets are provided with everything they need to provide high standards of care, including a work phone and a fully-equipped vehicle, set up with equipment such as endoscopy, ultrasound and digital x-ray.
