A repro vet is required to join the experienced team at a full-service equine hospital.
There are permanent and seasonal positions available.
The role would suit applicants with at least two years postgraduate experience in mixed or equine practice.
The successful vet will work alongside a team of experienced vets, nurses, vet assistants, horse handlers and admin support. A large team of ambulatory vets will support you along the way, with specialists in surgery, medicine and reproduction.
In the busy stud season, vets visit mostly thoroughbred stud clients to examine and treat newborn foals, perform routine reproductive checks on mares, follow-up surgical cases, treat sick foals and reassess medical cases discharged from hospital.

The role would suit applicants with at least two years of postgraduate experience in mixed or equine practice. Experience in equine veterinary practice, routine stud medicine and reproductive management of the stallion and mare, along with assisted reproduction skills a bonus.
The after-hours roster is expected to be 1 in 4 or better with adequate backup and second opinions from experienced and specialist veterinarians.
The practice offers specialist reproductive services, surgery and intensive care with comprehensive on-farm reproductive and general services. They also provide a sports medicine service to equine clients in the region.
The practice has a fully-equipped equine surgery with a hydraulic surgical table, two large and two small anaesthetic units, video arthroscopy and endoscopy, ECG, direct and indirect blood pressure monitors, oximetry and capnography. There is access to an industry-leading onsite laboratory.
The purpose-built hospital is modern and includes a surgical facility with two sterile theatres, a large transfer area and four recovery stalls.
The hospital is located in country New South Wales, in a town known for equine events and festivals. The area is popular for water sports such as water skiing, sailing and canoeing.
