Do you the thrill of emergency medicine? Would you like an emergency role that promotes a good work-life balance?

An emergency centre in Tasmania is seeking a veterinarian on a full or part time basis.

The successful applicant will join a team of experienced veterinarians and nurses who support each other every step of the way. Nursing staff are helpful and friendly.

The centre occupies a new, purpose-built hospital offering an excellent standard of care. They are equipped with digital radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, full IDEXX laboratory and ABL 90 blood gas machine. The dedicated intensive care unit also has a ventilator that gets used frequently during summer with snake envenomation.

The hospital is seeking a vet with the ability to make confident, well-considered decisions, and is dedicated to providing positive outcomes. Applicants should be team players with exceptional communication skills.

The practice is willing to consider overseas based applicants.

On offer is a busy and varied caseload working with a friendly and experienced team and five weeks annual leave. Continuing education is supported and encouraged, along with a generous allowance to do so.

As this is an after-hours veterinary practice, the rostered hours will be a mix of shifts that span evenings, overnights, public holidays, weekdays and weekends.

The practice is located in Tasmania. Tasmania is well known for its stunning wilderness, pristine waterways, fresh produce and festivals. If you are the adventurous type, you will be able to explore Mt Wellington, Cradle Mountain along with the many walking and biking tracks Tasmania has to offer.
