This privately owned, dairy only practice is seeking a veterinarian to join their 6 vet team.

The role will suit a veterinarian who is interested in working with progressive dairy farmers and offering the highest standard of veterinary care.

This is an opportunity to work in a small team of experienced vets where your input will be sought and valued. The practice has a low client to vet ratio. This means vets establish a great working relationship with clients and understand their business thoroughly. This provides the best outcomes.

The practice is open from 8 am to 5 pm on weekdays, and they offer a 24 hour emergency service.

The practice utilises Infovet software and Minda Web for detailed analysis. Vets are all accredited Dairy NZ condition scorers and InCalf advisors. There are various other special interests, including nutrition, lameness, cattle medicine and surgery within the team.

The practice is offering a competitive salary based on experience. Vets are offered 4 weeks of paid holiday, and CPD is funded annually.

The practice is located in a large town that serves the surrounding farming district. The area is filled with stunning snow-capped mountains as its backdrop and boarded by impressive braided rivers and crystal clear lakes; the scenery is so magnificent it will take your breath away! Whether it's winter or summer, there are always events around the region, from adventure races and snow events to music and food festivals; it is worth making a move to the area. Christchurch can be reached within a 1.5-hour drive.
