The practice is offering accommodation in a period home on-site at the clinic. This means no rush hour commutes, free parking and the possibility of flexible working hours.

The position would suit a vet who is empathetic, a good listener, enjoys talking to others and helping clients give their pets the best possible life.

Suitably qualified and experienced vets from overseas are welcome to apply. The practice will consider arranging a work permit (visa) for the right candidate.

The practice has been part of the local community for 30 years. They are located on the outskirts of Canberra in an area with a village-like atmosphere.

They have recently opened a nearby second purpose-built clinic. This offers the practice an opportunity to expand their team of wonderful vets. Five vets currently work across the two purpose-built clinics.

Equipment is well maintained and up to date.

Vets are supported by experienced, qualified nurses, and they utilise a dedicated consult nurse.

Continual learning is a priority, and continuing education is generously funded. In-house learning sessions are also provided.

The position can be full or part-time. A full-time roster averages 38 hours per week with a weekly rostered day off and some Saturday work required.

The package is negotiable but includes a minimum of four weeks annual leave, study allowance and five days study leave (pro-rata for part-time). The practice pays ACT Veterinary Surgeons Board registration and an ACT radiation licence.
