An exciting opportunity has become available for a mixed practice veterinarian to work at a well-established practice in the Northland region of New Zealand has become available.

New/recent graduates, and experienced vets are both welcome to apply. The successful applicant will join a team of 13 vets and 9 nurses over 3 clinics.

The caseload consists of dairy, lifestyle animals, sheep, goats, pigs and companion animals. There is a dedicated equine vet who deals with most equine cases, but there may be a touch of equine.

The practice consists of three branches no more than 20 minutes apart. The successful applicant will most likely work at the largest practice.

After hours are 1 in 5 with minimal sole charge.

The successful applicant will work 8 am to 5 pm with a one-hour lunch break.

The practice is situated in a city with a vibrant arts community. Enjoy idyllic harbours and ocean beaches and plenty of marine adventures close by. Only 2 hours (or 35 minutes flying) from the main city of Auckland and 1.5 hours from the Bay of Islands, you can enjoy both the city life and coastal scenery on your days off.
