Vet Surgeon Position Canberra - 194,988SSB

A locally owned, centrally located practice in Canberra is seeking an experienced surgeon to join the team. The role could be full or part time.

The successful applicant will become part of a dynamic and friendly team of five full-time vets, supported by qualified nurses and dedicated receptionists. All staff members believe in compassionate client and patient care.

Applicants should have the ability to perform orthopaedic surgeries including TTA and patella surgery. Advanced soft tissue surgical skills are also required. Memberships in small animal surgery or further study in this area would be viewed favourably.

This is a fantastic opportunity to grow the practice and the surgical caseload. The practice owners are willing to invest in new equipment to perform surgery at the highest level. The clinic is housed in a new purpose-built clinic. Facilities include two surgeries, a dental and ultrasonography suite, separate dog and cat areas, digital and dental radiography, heated recovery cages, oxygen support cages and heating inspired air units for anaesthesia warming.

The practice advocates and aims for fear-free veterinary care. The practice has a varied caseload with a high percentage of referral work. The practice owners have memberships and interests in small animal medicine, feline medicine and dentistry. The other veterinarians are all experienced.

The clinic is located within a five-minute walk from Canberra's best coffee, a range of restaurants and has easy access to public transport.
