A wonderful opportunity has become available to join an experienced team of vets, techs, nurses and receptionists at a busy and vibrant practice in Southern Queensland.

New/recent graduates are welcome to apply.

The role can be either full-time or part-time. 1 in 4 Saturday morning shifts are to be worked. As the clinics in the area rotate after hours on weekends, vets only have to do around 1:16 weekends on call.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be a real team player who is friendly and outgoing. Applicants should have great time management along with an ability to multi-task.

The practices mainly see small animals, however, does see a small percentage of large animals, usually horses. Occasionally, you might see an alpaca, cow or sheep.

The clinic is purpose-built and well-equipped with ultrasound, the latest orthopaedic equipment and digital x-ray, with the ability to do x-rays out on the farm if required. There is a fully equipped dental suite with Vet-Tome, dental machine, dental x-ray. There is a full in-house laboratory, including Idexx machines. They have two surgical suites that are equipped with the best monitors and pumps, five consult spaces and large treatment spaces. The practice uses RxWorks.

One of the veterinarians has a special interest in orthopaedic surgery. Another has a strong background in medicine and ultrasound, and so if you have an interest in either of these or anything else, the practice is very happy to support and encourage you!

The practice is situated in a beautiful coastal city in Southern Queensland, located close to shops and amenities. There are also lots of beaches and national parks to explore on your time off!
