Ophthalmology Specialist Position in Sydney - 192,860SSB

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Veterinary Specialist in Ophthalmology to join a dedicated and friendly team in Sydney.

This full-time role is to work at a large, multi-disciplinary referral hospital, which offers specialist services such as emergency and critical care, anaesthesia, internal medicine, neurology, surgery, oncology and radiation oncology, ophthalmology, dermatology, radiology and avian and exotics.

The ideal applicant will be motivated, committed to patient care, have a sense of humour, and share a vision for a collaborative working environment, where referring veterinarians and pet owners receive personal and attentive service.

You will be well supported in your new position by dedicated ophthalmology nurses and will be working alongside four other specialists.

The team is well-equipped with all the necessary tools for veterinary ophthalmology, including Kowa and Keeler slit lamps, Keeler indirect ophthalmoscopes, Acrivet ERG units, tonopen and tonovet, Volk lenses, Zeiss operating microscopes, Alcon Legacy and AMO signature phacoemulsification units, diode laser, ultrasound biomicroscopy and Philips ultrasound units and an array of microsurgical instruments! This hospital is one of the few in Australia offering gonio-implantation for management of glaucoma.

The hospital offers a progressive work environment, which encourages continuing education and training.
