Mixed Practice Vet Job South Australia -

An opportunity has become available for a vet to join a well-established practice in South Australia. The successful applicant will enjoy a friendly environment, where colleagues aim to create a fun place to work, with a focus on training and continual personal/professional improvement.

Starting date is very flexible. This is a team of five full-time vets and two part-time vets. The caseload is busy and varied with the option to undertake orthopaedics if desired. There is a great experienced vet to learn from!

The ideal applicant will have a desire to practice high-quality medicine and surgery and a strong interest in continuing education.

After hours on call will be shared equally between five vets, with two days off after a weekend on call. Nurses are rostered to be available should you require extra assistance after hours.

This position will give you the opportunity to work in a new, purpose-built hospital with state of the art facilities and fantastic diagnostic equipment. The hospital boasts surgical theatres, large treatment areas and a dedicated diagnostic imaging suite. Equipment includes pulse oximeter, digital x-ray, extensive orthopaedic instruments, new ultrasound, endoscope, ECG, dental machine, new IDEXX machine and infusion pumps.

The employer has indicated that there may be partnership prospects, if desired.

The practice is an easy 2.5-hour drive from Adelaide. Recreational activities in the area are many and varied including sports, wineries, arts, water-skiing, camping and generally enjoying the beautiful country environment. The area is a great place to live and visit.
