Are you a mixed animal veterinarian looking to work at a Best Practice Accredited clinic?

Both new/ recent graduates and experienced veterinarians are welcome to apply.

The successful candidate will join a supportive team of 7 full-time vets and 1 part-time vet.

The clinic hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. The roster will include a late night on Thursdays with veterinarians rostered for emergency after hours and weekend work.

The large animal work is biased towards dairy. Sheep and beef work are still a significant component of both practices. The practices also see companion animal, some pig, horse and deer work.

All equipment for large animal work including wet weather apparel and a car are provided for work purposes. The practice operates out of two purpose-built clinics, both equipped to high standards.

The employer will provide you with a continuing education allowance and NZVA membership and pay for income protection insurance.

The area is rich in wildlife, art and history, with plenty of character and a warm and friendly atmosphere. There is an excellent range of shops, lively bars and restaurants in a nearby town centre.
