A wildlife veterinarian is required at a busy hospital in South Brisbane.

The ideal applicant will have an interest in wildlife and welfare with a willingness to be trained, or demonstrable competence, in the handling, treatment and rehabilitation of all native Australian wildlife.

The hospital is fully equipped with surgical theatre, orthopaedic equipment, digital radiography, and ultrasonography.

The vet will see both internal cases as well as an external caseload. The role will involve caring for sick, injured or orphaned wildlife animals while also attending to domestic animals who arrive in critical condition during the night shift.

This role will best suit those who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week with hours being rostered over 24 hours a day, seven days a week, rotating. This position will involve regular night work with some day shifts. Regular weekend work will be required.

The hospital is located in South Brisbane, within an hour's drive to Brisbane's CBD. Beautiful islands such as Moreton, Stradbroke and Bribie are all close by for to spend your days off relaxing and enjoying all they have to offer.
