A leading group of small animal hospitals in Australia are seeking a full-time veterinarian to join their friendly and dynamic Emergency and Critical Care team in Canberra.

Both experienced vets and new graduates are welcome to apply.

The successful candidate will have an interest in emergency medicine. Previous experience working in an emergency hospital and memberships in emergency and critical care or the desire to obtain these qualifications, will be highly regarded, but are not essential. Excellent communication and organisational skills, along with the ability to work well within a team and independently when required, is a must.

The vet will be required to work various rotational shifts including evenings, overnights, weekends and public holidays.

This position offers relocation assistance if needed, one weeks' paid study leave (including an allowance), access to regular tutorials, case discussion, in-house seminars and interaction with specialists.

Equipment at this first-class facility includes digital x-ray machine, ultrasound, fully equipped surgery, ECG, BP and multiparameter, full in-house pathology, video endoscopy, oxygen tents, ventilator and much more. It is computerised with RxWorks.

Canberra has numerous facilities and attractions including educational institutes, easy access to snowfields, south coast beaches and is a 3.5 hour drive from Sydney.
