This is a great opportunity for two enthusiastic veterinarians to join a friendly, busy mixed practice in the north-western region of Victoria, just a few hours' drive from Melbourne.

The first position will be an immediate start, with the second position commencing in late 2020.

The ideal candidates will be confident and capable.

The caseload will include scanning cows, performing abdominal surgery and scanning the occasional mare. The role would also be suited to candidates who enjoy small animal medicine, surgery and reproduction and everything else that comes with mixed practice.

This long-established, purpose-built clinic is modern and houses an array of equipment including a riley cattle tipper, Edge power float, Abaxis H&B analysers, Eurolyser Solo progesterone analyser, Siemens 6-probe ultrasound machine, two IBEX ICE large animal reproductive ultrasounds, electrocautery, three flexible endoscopes, Lane IV Electro-Ejaculator, mobile horse crush, two Isoflurane anaesthetic machines and an Onyx oxygen generator and in-house incubator for C&S. Orthopaedic equipment includes De Angelis crimping equipment and TTA gear, two digital x-ray machines and Agfa Digitizer, mobile Toshiba CD x-ray machine for equine in-house use and so on.

A good work ethic is essential and will be rewarded.

The practice is very supportive of any special interests.

The afterhours workload is generally light, except during the spring and autumn calving periods, and is usually 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 evenings and weekends.

The practice is located in a sunny, vibrant country town on the banks of the Murray River, close to national parks. The town has excellent sporting, educational and medical facilities. The town is within a 40-minute drive of Echuca, a 1-hour drive from Bendigo and a 3-hour drive from Melbourne.
